Who we are
KUD Bosna Chicago is a registered nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Bosna and Hercegovina folk dance and cultural heritage. Founded and led by four experienced former folk dancers, our organization serves a growing community of over 130 members. Through structured dance instruction, cultural education, and community engagement initiatives, we aim to ensure that traditional Bosnian music, dance, and customs are passed down to future generations.
Our primary focus is on reconnecting today’s youth with their cultural roots by offering comprehensive programs that teach not only traditional dances but also the historical and social significance behind them. We strive to foster a strong sense of identity, pride, and belonging among young people, while building a resilient and vibrant community that honors the legacy of Bosnian culture. By preserving these traditions, we seek to strengthen intergenerational bonds and contribute to the rich tapestry of multicultural heritage in our broader society.
